I intend in writing up this blog so that engineers can
identify the right switch for job more quickly and avoid many problems down the
line such as unhappy users, frequent failures and replacements.
Selecting the right switch is an essential part of designing.
Switches are required for anything that has to be powered on including control
panels, industrial equipment, and electronic devices. There are various types
of switches available and it is imperative to understand that which the most
suitable switch for each application is.

I thought of writing this blog on types of NVRAM (Non
Volatile RAM) to share and also, enhance my knowledge on NVRAM market. In my
knowledge, currently, there are three types of technologies on NVRAM are
available in market.

Structural integrity and, ultimately, device performance is
impacted by alignment inaccuracies throughout the production process, increasing
the total cost of manufacturing
There are a host of variables to consider in the
manufacturing process that can affect alignment accuracy -- including
temperature and substrate materials -- and the movement to smaller, more
feature-dense packages greatly exacerbates the problem. EV Group has
introduced the EVG-NT series to solve these issues

I have observed that people do few common mistakes
using the BNC connectors and result in damaging them but with little care taken
these are easy and convenient to use. These types of connectors cost approximately
$2 per piece. I wanted to suggest here some information on BNC connectors which
if people clutch, then be able to avoid the common mistakes of usage and
avoiding damage.

Many of the
times designers get frenzied of designing LED Drivers by constant current
sources. They know that the advantage with constant current source design is
primarily to maintain steady forward current through the LED as the voltage
drop across the LED junction varies and also the constant current source allows
variations in the power source of the LED circuit without affecting LED forward
drive current, but they get out of control of these benefits just for not
taking the following considerations into their designs:

In couple of my designs I have used voltage references. I thought to write up a blog on Bandgap voltage reference in such a way that it may be effectual for professionals and understandable to novice designers.
Voltage reference is an electronic device (circuit or component) that produces a fixed (constant) voltage irrespective of the loading on the device, power supply variation and temperature.
Reference voltages and/or currents with little dependence to temperature prove useful in many analog circuits.

Oscillators are the base of many electronic and
communications systems that depend on accurate time measurement and
coordination. They are used to provide stability to time-frequency generators,
which in turn provide carrier and pilot signals for electronic communication
and navigation systems. Oscillators also provide the clock signals used by data
processing equipment, as well as the reference signals for other
special-purpose systems. The required accuracy and stability of oscillator
output frequency depend on the application, ranging from about ±1000 PPM in the

Illuminated channel letters and light box signs have
become the most commonly used type of electrical signs. Channel letters have
deep sidewalls with recessed light sources. Box signs utilize a recessed light
source to illuminate a translucent front surface made of plastic or glass.
Channel letters and light box signs commonly use Neon,
fluorescent or LEDs as their light

I was testing an 0603 0.1 μF cap next to an 0603 100 pF cap as bypass capacitors That was not as good as just using two 0603 caps of 0.1 μF together. Can some one suggest why it is happening so?

All
electronic and domestic appliances sold in the current marketplace have a
stand-by system incorporated (for e.g. a red light that allows for remote
switching of the TV), and some of them cannot be totally turned off ever (unable
to go into off-mode).
When
a TV is in stand-by mode it consumes more in a year than it does when it is
turned on, for example. And the same applies to other domestic appliances.

768-48-9 is a Fox XpressO crystal oscillator of 48Mhz. I was in discussion with a design engineer who was working on a gas chromatograph - to measure properties of gas used in chromatography technique and their chemical breakdown from C6 to C9.They have mounted this Fox crystal oscillator on each of the five boards they have used in their gas chromatograph projects and were satisfied with the specification of 768-48-9 as it worked well in their design.
Does someone has to say more on this Fox Electronics XpressO part?
